Failure Not Final

I don’t know who needs to read this today, but your failure is NOT final.

First and foremost, you should surround yourself with people who believe in you and who do not define you by the last mistake that you made. In Luke chapter 22, Jesus was speaking to Peter about a moment of failure that he was about to face. Peter could never see himself denying and betraying Jesus, but Jesus could see it.

In today’s day and age, many people who say that they are like Jesus would have cut Peter off and made plans to make sure that everyone else did too. That’s not what Jesus did. Jesus prayed for him. Not only that, but Jesus believed in and put His faith and confidence in Peter before Peter ever even failed. Jesus knew what Peter was going to do. Jesus told Peter that Satan wanted to take him out, but prayed for him.

He did not tell Peter that there would be any “I told you so” to endure. He didn’t tell Peter that there would be a time of punishment. He just simply told Peter to return and get back to doing what He called him to do.

PAY ATTENTION TO THIS: Not all failure is final, and not everyone who hurts you is a betrayer.

As leaders and as christians, we must actually live and love like Jesus. We should stay ever ready to believe the best about and restore the fallen. This even applies to those whose fall has failed us.

You are not too far gone. There are more for you than against you. Religion walks away and despises, but true relationship is forever. You WILL get back up again. If you got it wrong this time, you will get it right the next time; not because anyone expects you to be perfect, but because prayers and intercessions are being made for you.

Be encouraged. Jesus loves you and the greater One lives on the inside of you. Your failure is not your final destination! Rise up, dust yourself off, and prepare to WIN again!

“FOR THE LOVERS OF GOD MAY SUFFER ADVERSITY AND STUMBLE SEVEN TIMES, BUT THEY WILL CONTINUE TO RISE OVER AND OVER AGAIN…” - PROVERBS 24:16 (THE PASSION TRANSLATION)

CONFESSION:

Lord, I thank you that I am victorious through Christ Jesus according to Your word in 1 Corinthians 15:57. I am a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17) and failure is not my final destination. The past does not define me as I move forward by Your grace and mercy. Your will and plan will be fulfilled in my life, despite any past failures or mistakes! I am moving forward in destiny!”
