Survival Mode

The Lord put this on my heart for those of you who are so desperate and hungry for something real and fulfilling that you keep returning to what and/or who hurt you, didn’t nourish you, and couldn't/didn’t help you when you needed it before.

When a dog is desperately hungry, it will view it’s own vomit as a food source.

It doesn’t make sense to eat what upset your stomach to begin with, but as a means to survival, they do it. They accept a lesser quality food source than what they need because they are trying to survive. Many of you are and have been doing this in the spirit!

You keep going back to what and who couldn’t feed you spiritually. You keep going back to that thing that upset your peace and joy. You keep going back to that person who used you. You keep going back to that church that you couldn’t grow in, and it’s all because desperation and an intense hunger to survive is what is driving you instead of faith and a hunger for a word from Jesus.

There is a difference between surviving and living.

When you are in survival mode, you have learned to live numb to the people and things that have hurt you. When you are truly living, you have allowed the Lord to heal you and set you free from who and what has hurt you.

I’m writing this to encourage you to live FREE, rather than living numb and calling it freedom!

You don't have to keep returning to what was. You simply have to hear from heaven and let your Savior lead you to the place, the people, and the things that He has prepared for you. That place flows with milk and honey, and you’ll never want to look back again.

You’ll no longer long for Egypt once you taste the goodness of the Promised Land.

You were never meant to settle. The Father has always had plans to prosper you and not harm; plans to give you a hope and future.

I am praying for you as I write this. The Lord has so much more for you than you have ever known, and this is the season to go after Jesus, and His goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your life!

CONFESSION:

I AM NO LONGER LOOKING BACK AT WHAT WAS. I AM NO LONGER SETTLING FOR LESS THAN GOD’S BEST. I AM MOVING FORWARD INTO GOD’S HIGHEST AND BEST FOR MY LIFE FROM THIS DAY ON. I WANT HEALING AND FREEDOM MORE THAN I WANT THE COMFORT OF BEING NUMB, SO I AM SURRENDERING EVERY HURT IN MY LIFE TO JESUS. I AM SAYING GOODBYE TO EGYPT AND ALL THAT HAS KEPT ME IN BONDAGE. I AM FOLLOWING JESUS AS I EMBRACE THE PROMISE LAND THAT HE HAS PREPARED FOR ME. TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE BEST DAY OF THE REST OF MY LIFE IN THE NAME OF JESUS!
