A New Thing
In South Louisiana, seasons change, but sometimes, there is very little evidence of that change at first. People say that we experience only summer here; no matter what month it is.
It seems like we look at pictures from other places with beautiful, changing leaves and lower temperatures while our environment stays the same. Even though we do not see the changes when others see them, we still sing the same Christmas songs as the rest of the world. We still put up our Christmas trees and hang lights in the heat. We still celebrate Thanksgiving and Easter.
We do this because we KNOW that, even though we don’t see it fully, the season has changed, and the time has come to celebrate or look at something new. I want to encourage those of you who are like those of us living in South Louisiana, waiting on the evidence of a new season in the natural.
Don’t be discouraged when you see others enjoying the scenery of a new season in their lives.
(When they are driving new cars, getting married, getting a new job, receiving a scholarship, ministry growth, etc…) Don’t doubt that God is doing a brand new thing for YOU. Starting singing and preparing for the new and exciting things that are coming just because you know that it’s time!
What’s happening on the outside does not have the power to change what is happening in the spirit, but what is happening in the spirit has the power to change what you see and what’s going on all around you!
Get ready for the NEW thing because, if you know anything about seasons, then you know that it’s HERE!
“Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even put a road in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.” - Isaiah 43:19 (AMP)
