Culture of Honor
One of the main ways that Satan increases/has increased his influence in this generation - and in the earth in general - is through dishonor. Dishonor has always been his way.
Dishonor: Failure to observe or respect.
The greatest definition of honor, according to the Bible, is simply to prefer someone above yourself. The simplest definition of dishonor is to refuse to honor.
Dishonor is an outward choice or expression that has intense spiritual ramifications.
When the devil wants to destroy a relationship, he just sows a seed of dishonor into the heart of one or more of the parties involved.
He sowed dishonor in the heart of angels toward God, in Adam and Eve toward God, then in Cane toward God and Able. Like any other seed, when watered, it grows. Hence the generation we are now living in that sees honor as ignorance and foolishness.
The spiritual ramifications have only increased as the dishonor grew.
As children watched their parents “choose” God one day, and then live the exact opposite of that choice the next, dishonor grew. When families quit praying and reading the word together, dishonor grew. When children stopped being taught that gathering together to be equipped (going to church) was necessary to get the job done that God created them to do, and that being in His presence was more important than eating or breathing, dishonor grew.
When they heard their Pastor or Priest low-key (and sometimes high-key) degrade the church or pastor down the street because “they just needed the truth to be known,” dishonor grew.
Then, when they came home and heard their parents pick apart the sermons, the pastors, the pastor’s family, what they were wearing, where they were living, what kind of car they were driving, whether or not they were “taking folks’ money,” all while talking about who would do a better job at pastoring than him/her, only to continue to need counseling a week, month, or even a year later, dishonor grew.
Now, the seed of dishonor is so rooted in the hearts of the people that they love, that their spouse thinks that talking with God is ridiculous, much less, telling the pastor their business. Their children think of God as a “get out of jail,” “get out of trouble,” “heal me if I’m sick,” “shout when they play my song” kind of God, and they enjoy going to church about as much as they enjoy going to the dentist.
As a result of all of these things, they have no true honor for God.
They have no true honor for their parents.
They’ve heard the way that their parents speak to and about people that they are supposed to honor, and now they go to school “wishing that someone would come at them stupid.” (teachers and principals included)
Police are also included because children have heard their parents talk about how “no good” they are.
They have no honor for their nation because of the way that they hear their parents/leaders tear apart its leaders because of their race, their beliefs, their past, etc.
They choose to gossip and demean their nation’s leaders instead of praying and lifting them up the way that the Bible tells them to in order for us all live in peace. Having never even left the dirt of America, they honestly believe that it’s better and that their dishonor would be more accepted other places.
The spiritual ramification of the seed of dishonor is a generation that kills their own brothers and sisters to resolve an unspoken conflict…a generation that is unafraid of any consequences because they have had NONE at home…a generation that uses drugs both legally and illegally to manage every natural emotion because they are unteachable and have never learned to submit their emotions to the Holy Spirit, or even learned who He is.
These same children are becoming gang leaders instead of world leaders and church leaders.
These same children are becoming rogue-agent police officers and law makers who have no honor for any man, so they have no value for life, including their own.
These same children are becoming school shooters and prisoners that make the system money and are taught that their dishonor is the only thing keeping them alive, so it’ll only continue growing. (a plan of the enemy)
It sounds like Cain and Abel.
It sounds like a full circle plan of the enemy, only multiplied.
If we want a different outcome then the one that we see now, then we MUST bring the culture of honor back. We must study it and eat, sleep, and breathe it.
The devil made many believe that honor makes you weak. He’s a liar.
Honor makes you wise, and wisdom causes you to prosper in every way.
We must do better so that this generation and the next will be BETTER. The Lord is calling us to come up higher in this truth so that we can have what only honor can produce…His favor.
