Overflowing

In John 7:37-38, Jesus gives an invitation to anyone who believes in Him.

His invitation is to come and drink. He promises to do what the scriptures prophesied and cause rivers of living water to flow out of us.

When you live your life being filled with His Spirit, then out of your belly will flow rivers of living water. That’s His promise to you! The very springs of Heaven that bring LIFE, JOY, PEACE, RESTORATION, and POWER flow through you by the Spirit of the living God!

The promise in this scripture details two things for us:

1) If rivers of living water are flowing out of your belly, then you have a responsibility to stay filled to overflowing so that you can release that river! If you don’t release it, then it becomes stagnant. Stagnant waters are undrinkable and unhealthy. There has to be a constant filling and a constant flowing to produce life!

2) If that river is FLOWING, then that means that it is moving out and is meant to effect everyone and everything that it comes in contact with. Those living waters flowing through you are meant to bring life, health, strength, peace, and all the things of Heaven into the lives of every person connected to you and every person that God sends and assigns to your life. So, staying filled and flowing isn’t just about you. It’s about those connected to you.

This is what you can be sure of: You were born to win and created to bring the things of Heaven into the Earth!

My prayer for each of you is that you spend time every day coming to Jesus to drink, and that you’re allowing Him to fill you to overflowing with His Spirit so that you never again try to pour from a place of emptiness or try living the abundant life with stagnant waters no longer flowing.

I pray that you live filled to overflowing with the Spirit of God, and that you always have an abundance flowing through you to bless those around you in the name of Jesus!

On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’” - John 7:37-38 (NLT)
